Relational Dreaming: An Exploration in Three Parts
Dreams have long captured the imagination of humankind--whether they were understood as messages from the Unseen, teachings of a divine nature, or even second lives lived in the world of sleep. In more recent years dreams have captured the interest of multiple disciplines ranging from psychology to neurology and even philosophy. In Relational Dreaming: An Exploration in Three Parts, we will gather together for dream exploration in a small group environment. We will explore the power of imagery, sensory integration, and how the relationship between the dream and the dreamer impacts one’s waking life. We will then move into the realm of visualization and dreaming one's desires into being. And all of this will be grounded through the power of relational engagement and sharing.
Join Rachael Kruger, DC, CPC and Bryan Dieterich, MA at Harmony House in Johnson City on three Fridays for an evening exploration of the art of dreaming. In addition to their own dream experience, Rachael spent time studying with with renowned Jungian dream analyst Tess Castleman--a pioneer of working with the “tribal unconscious” as it manifests in dream circles and retreats as well as “tribal dreams”—those dreams that are meant to be heard by more people than the dreamer him/herself--while Bryan has long worked with the Gestalt dream approach pioneered by Fritz Perls in the 1950’s and 60’s. Relational Dreaming weaves both schools of thought together with threads of experience brought together by their many decades of personal, relational and group dream work.
When: This series will begin on Friday October 11 from 6:30--9:00pm with dates of 2nd and 3rd sessions TBD
